Paul Kelly - The A to Z Recordings (Live) CD5+CD6 Paul Kelly - The A to Z Recordings (Live) CD3+CD4 Paul Kelly - The A to Z Recordings (Live) CD1+CD2 Kelly fans have known for decades: that he is a songwriter whose peers are few they include Townes Van Zandt, Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Elvis Costello, and Ronnie Laine. If you get this, you might as well buy his book How to Make Gravy as well - it is a terrific read, and if you are a singer songwriter you will love it. Yes it is 8 cds, but not one of them is less than wonderful. The sparsity translates into an intimacy that, I think, the songs themselves cry out for. I prefer these stripped down renditions to the versions with a full band. Anyone who likes well crafted beautiful songs sung with soul should get this collection. His delivery is always straight from the heart, and pretty well every song in this collection feels as immediately familiar as your favorite pair of shoes. In three stanzas he can give you all you need to know about love and loss, or finding what has been lost and treasuring it. His songs are masterpieces of compressed narrative. Paul Kelly may not have the lyrical precision and quiet solemnity of Leonard Cohen, or the astonishing fluency and imaginative extravagance of Dylan at his best, but he is one hell of a story teller. Rolling Stone's Jason Cohen described the release as "a 106-track, eight-CD boxed set culled from Kelly's now-trademark A to Z live performances" (Wikipedia) Kelly's A – Z Tours continued until March 2012. The tours led to Kelly writing his memoir, How to Make Gravy (named for the song of the same name), also in September 2010. It had been recorded from a series of performances from 2004 to 2010 on Kelly's A – Z Tours in various locations. The A – Z Recordings is an eight-volume live album by Australian rock musician, Paul Kelly, which was released on 24 September 2010 on Gawd Aggie Records in Australia and Universal Import in North America. In Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, the player, as Carl "CJ" Johnson, progresses through the action-adventure game through a series of story-based missions. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) related to insider trading, and lawmaker actions due to "Hot Coffee" triggered a separate investigation by the Federal Trade Commission. Rockstar's parent company, Take-Two Interactive, was already under investigation by the U.S. "Hot Coffee" raised concerns from lawmakers related to mandatory game ratings, and several civil suits were launched against Rockstar. The "Hot Coffee" source code remains in all versions of San Andreas but takes more effort to restore due to missing models and animations. Rockstar recalled all retail copies of San Andreas and released a new version that blocked access to "Hot Coffee" by the end of 2005, and issued a patch for existing owners to prevent access. The ESRB rerated the game Adults Only, causing many retailers to pull it from sale, while the OFLC issued a Refused Classification, banning it from sale in Australia. Within a month of the patch's release, the American Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) and Australian Office of Film and Literature Classification (OFLC) reevaluated San Andreas 's content rating. While players found "Hot Coffee" humorous, it led to San Andreas becoming embroiled in controversy. Modder Patrick Wildenborg released a patch to unlock the minigame two days later. Data miners discovered evidence of explicit sexual content after San Andreas was released for the PlayStation 2 in 2004, and confirmed its existence when the Windows version released on June 7, 2005. "Hot Coffee" could not be fully removed, so the content was hidden from players using cutscenes. Before development concluded, Rockstar operations director Jennifer Kolbe warned Houser that explicit sexual content would likely bring restrictive assessments from ratings boards, harming retail sales. "Hot Coffee" was included in San Andreas as part of the boundary-pushing vision that company president Sam Houser had for the Grand Theft Auto games. When enabled, "Hot Coffee" allows players, as protagonist Carl "CJ" Johnson, to have animated sexual intercourse with an in-game girlfriend. The minigame is not playable through normal means the game must be modded to access it. " Hot Coffee" is an unofficial name for a minigame in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, a 2004 action-adventure game developed by Rockstar North. Until something is figured out about the official ones running on Macs I will fawn over these little shimejis on my Mac and play with the officials on a Windows laptop. If you go with the second route the shimeji wander around in black windows across your screen and sounds don’t play. Could neutrinos overturn the most precise theory of particle physics that humans have ever written down? Could they even be a link to a hidden realm of new particles that permeate the cosmos - so called dark matter? Scientists at Fermilab are edging towards the truth. In these unlikely places supersized neutrino detectors hope to unlock the universe's deepest secrets. The problem is, these tiny particles are almost impossible to detect.Įlsewhere, physicists conduct experiments in some of the most extreme environments on the planet: from deep mine shafts in South Dakota to vast ice fields at the South Pole.
